Cary Family

Wow I can't believe it's been over a month since I've blogged! Things have been a little busy lately, but I just had to share this family's session! If you follow me you know I normally do outdoor sessions, but I don't strictly shoot outdoors. There are many advantages and disadvantages to indoors vs outdoors, but that's for another time. This was my first session that would fit into the "lifestyle session" category, and I loved it so much that I'd definitely be open to more in the future! Baby Boston had just been born a few days before the session, and she was absolutely perfect for us! It was more of a half new-born/half family session which was a lot of fun! The sun was bright and shining, and the room was perfect. If you ever consider an indoor session in your home, always choose the room with the most NATURAL light. In this case, the wall next to the bed had large windows along it on the side the sun was! So perfect!! Enough of me ranting about how much I love everything about this session. ;) Here are many favorites!!

Don't worry, the baby is actually way in front of the jumping siblings, and mom and dad were hanging on! Safety first!

Kristina & Brian | Engagement

I met Kristina & Brian on a chilly Saturday morning in downtown Greenville. We decided it was a little too cold and windy to stay outdoors, so we went into a little shop downtown and asked if we could use their space for some photos. Postcard from Paris kindly obliged and we began the shoot. The natural light was wonderful, and the random pieces of furniture and chandeliers were dreamy. I am looking forward to working Kristina & Brian again on their wedding day! Thanks again to Postcard from Paris and designer Linda Mcdougald for letting us use their shop in downtown Greenville!

Aaand we braved the cold for a few shots before running back to Starbucks! :)

Brittany & Braden

It has been about half a year since Brittany & Braden said "I do," and I was honored to take their photos. Braden will be finishing up his service in the Army shortly, so Brittany contacted me for a session to capture him in uniform and have some wintry photos. What you can't tell here, is that it was below 30 degrees! Now mornings in the 20's are FREEZING for any southerner! But somehow they managed to to make it look like a beautiful, comfortable day without being dressed like Eskimos. The sun was at a beautiful spot, and I am in love with all the colors. Here are some favorites from their mini session!

Brittany you are beautiful!
